At TIE, we believe that every child has the right to play and that toys are an important part of this experience.
To make play as fun as possible, our members put safety first when it comes to the toys they produce. But there are also some simple safety tips that can help when choosing and playing with toys, which we decided to share via an animated video.
The video highlights twelve of our top tips to help keep children safe during play. These are actions such as, buying toys from trustworthy retailers, who you know will accept returns on faulty goods; paying attention to age labels; making sure toys are used as intended; supervising play and even tidying up toys!
ANEC (The European consumer voice in standardisation) officially supports the video.
The tips included in the video are based on tips TIE worked together with the Commission and other European toy safety stakeholders to develop in 2010.
Below you will find the English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish versions of our video.
