As the European Union moves forward with the negotiations on the Green Claims Directive, we have teamed up with other EU associations to urge EU decision makers to clarify, harmonise and simplify this legislation.
Unnecessary complexity and low harmonisation can lead to excessive verification requirements, increased costs and administrative burdens for toy companies. It may also overlap with existing rules, reducing legal certainty.
A clear, well-designed regulation is essential to support business competitiveness and to improve transparency for consumers regarding environmental claims.
