TIE is excited to announce its new Executive Board following its 2016 Assembly General Meeting last week.
David Allmark (Mattel) was elected as Chairman and is supported by Henrik Sjögrens (LEGO), Vice-Chairman, and Foye Pascoe (Hasbro), TIE’s new Treasurer. Albert Vallejo (formerly of the TIE Secretariat) joined the Board as a representative of Mattel and Yann Le Tallec (formerly Mattel) for LEGO. Paolo Taverna (Assogiocattoli) and Natasha Crookes (BTHA) were re-elected as directors. Special thanks go to Mr. José Antonio Pastor and Ms. Rafaela Hartenstein for their significant contributions in directing TIE during the interim period as Chair and Treasurer, respectively.
TIE members welcomed Christian Siebert, Head of toy safety at the European Commission, as the guest speaker for this year’s AGM. Mr. Siebert expressed his appreciation for TIE’s constructive, high quality and timely contributions to EU toy safety regulation, and hopes that this exchange continues.
